Khadyothan Choudari Dasari

I am joining Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Software Development Engineer in Herndon, VA. My interests include distributed systems, NoSQL databases (e.g., RocksDB), and backend engineering for data-intensive systems.

I completed my Master’s in Computer Science from Arizona State University in 2025, where I worked under Prof. Zhichao Cao on redesigning LSM-based key-value stores to support strong consistency with secondary instances .

Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sri City, during which I interned at MedCuore Medical Solutions Pvt Ltd as a Software Developer – AI/ML, and at Pianalytix Edutech as a Full Stack Engineer.

Some backstory

I was born in Gudivada , Andhra Pradesh, and moved to Hyderabad, where I completed all of my education until the 12th grade.

With my father being a film journalist, I grew up at the cinema every Friday, and my life has largely revolved around math and movies . Although I knew I wanted to write and tell stories through the 70mm lens, I also found it interesting to convey product ideas through storytelling and translate them into code — and that’s how I ended up in pursuing Computer Science with a passion to build products that people actually use .
